EMPLOYMENT FRAUD WARNING – OCTOBER 2023

We have become aware of a fraudulent scheme utilizing the Indeed job platform and mentioning AllChem. As we understand the fraud, several fake job postings on Indeed indicate that AllChem is hiring for multiple positions. Though we have used Indeed in the past, we currently have no legitimate positions listed on that platform.

The fraud involves inviting prospective employees to apply for one of these fictitious jobs, participate in an online interview, be told they are hired, and then sent a check to purchase the equipment they will need for these jobs. The new employees are told to return excess monies to the company.

These checks are fraudulent and will bounce a couple of days after being cashed. The fraudster typically demands that the money be returned immediately via a "cash app" type program so that it occurs instantaneously and is much more challenging to track.

Once sent, the money is not recoverable by the victim, and the total amount of the original check will be deducted from their bank account once it bounces or is dishonored.

ALLCHEM WILL NEVER SEND PROSPECTIVE EMPLOYEES' CHECKS TO CASH AND RETURN MONEY TO US.

AllChem has contacted law enforcement and Indeed to inform them of the matter.

If you are the victim of this fraud, we suggest contacting your local law enforcement agency or the FBI.
